Virginia Klamon's brief story and background in her own words:

Virginia Klamon, PhD, brings more than 35 years of experience supporting leaders in cultivating the presence, resilience, and expanded capacities needed to navigate complexity with wisdom and compassion. A developmental leadership coach and spiritual director, she draws on the Perennial Wisdom traditions, integrating a lifetime of experience with deep study, contemplative practice, and intuitive insight into her work. She accompanies private clients and serves as a Leadership Coach in the global Discerning Leadership Program in Rome. She also co-facilitates the Pocket Project's 2026 Integration Lab on Organizational Health.

 

An ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Virginia has held faculty and executive coaching roles at Seattle University and IMD Switzerland. Her career also includes leading large-scale organizational change initiatives across the United States and Europe, bringing a rare integration of organizational expertise, developmental coaching, and spiritual depth to leaders facing today's most complex challenges.

As a Certified Maturity Assessment for Professionals (MAP) Scorer-Coach and a Certified Leadership Maturity Coach, Virginia combines deep expertise with a longstanding commitment to advancing the field of developmental leadership coaching and assessment. She has co-instructed alongside Dr. Cook-Greuter and Beena Sharma, co-led the MAP Scoring Forum, and has been a leading voice and pioneer in professionalizing and innovating Dr. Cook-Greuter's MAP scoring process. Working closely with a seasoned technology executive she recruited, she designed the original MAP Scoring Platform, automating the blind-scoring process and integrating Dr. Cook-Greuter's proprietary scoring manuals, and co-designed the initiative to digitize the scoring manuals. Together, these pioneering platforms became the foundation for the systems that continue to support the field today.
