Christine Wahl's brief story and background in her own words:
My immersion with the MAP was started through the research study that was a collaboration between the Leadership Circle organization and Susanne. The study included leaders who scored in the highest percentiles on the Leadership Circle Profile 360, and I was one of the leaders invited to be part of that study (between 2010 and 2011). The study found that leaders with high 360 feedback percentiles were also largely post conventional and beyond. After taking the MAP for purposes of the research, I received my score and not much else; of course I then had to take a discovery tour to learn what it meant! Study with Susanne started at Cliff Kayser's retreat house in West Virginia, where we spent four days learning about the stages of development. After that I continued to study with Susanne, and Beena Sharma, and eventually took the 18-month MAP certification course to certify in administering and debriefing the MAP (Cook-Greuter & Associates, 2013). I’ve been scoring the MAP for individual clients and leadership cohorts every year since.
