New! The next Developmental Intensive for Professionals (DIP) in North America is scheduled for August 31 through September 6, 2010. This is a newly created three-module format that gives you more choices and advanced options based on your interests. Module 1: Deep dive into ego development theory and exploring your own awareness. Module 2. Language as a mirror of meaning making Module 3: Developmental coaching, practice and qualifying review. Susanne Cook-Greuter and Beena Sharma will be your highly experienced co-facilitators. The above newly designed program is a ‘Certification’ for Coaches interested in doing Developmental Coaching using the MAP instrument. For certification all modules need to be completed including a qualifying review at the end of module 3. For those interested in diving deeper into the theory, exploring language and its place in meaning making, or those who have previously taken our DIP programs and are interested in a refresher or upgrade, each of the above modules may be taken independently. Over New Year 2009, Susanne was teaching at the Integral Spiritual Experience Conference (Dec. 30, 2009 to Jan. 3, 2010). It had the Unique Self as the topic of exploration. She gave two overview presentations of Ego Development and the Unique Self. Many people at the lecture requested the colorful AQAL chart that prominently features Ego Development theory in the center of the chart that depicts all quadrants, all levels, all lines, all types, all states. In the daily morning practice sessions, Susanne introduced others to Nature Mysticism through lecture, readings, story and contemplation assignments in the magnificent surroundings around Asilomar and its sea shore in Pacific Grove, California. She always knew just how much the love of nature, studying and immersing herself in it has spurred her on her own path as a scientist. Making a likeness of anything one sees is a special form of given total attention to an “other” and thus to savor its uniqueness. The deep awe, love and bliss that comes from exploring anything with total attention and care is what makes nature such a simple and ever available source of connection with spirit. A dust particle in the room lit up by a sunbeam. Watching whales cavort in the waters of Hawaii. Eating a raspberry with upmost reverence for its perfection in color, taste, shape, fragrance and texture! These are the joys available to anyone who so desires at any time, anywhere. 2009 An interview with Susanne Cook-Greuter has appeared in Trigon Themen. The interview is in German. 2009 was a busy year for teaching the DIP worldwide: We visited and led workshops in Sydney, Australia; Sao Paolo, Brazil; Moscow; Cologne; Cape Town, South Africa; and the USA.
